Truth Tuesday, Philippians 1:3-4

Philippians 1:3-4 3. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4. always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy There are some people in our lives that we need to remember to thank God for.  They hold a special place in our heart, but we must remember that it was God first that created them and orchestrated events to bring us together.   When these people need something, it seems almost an honor to ask God that what they request is taken care of.  It is okay to ask that they obtain godly personality traits or blessed days.  Knowing that God is taking care of the ones that have touched you is something that should fill you with joy.

Truth Tuesday- Philippians 1:1-2

Philippians 1:1 1. Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ. 1. As we noticed in 1 Timothy 1, Paul was discipling Timothy, therefore when writing to the people at Philippi, Timothy considered himself to be a bondservant for Christ just as Paul did.  As with all his letters, he gives the intended recipients of the words.  Because this letter is to a group rather than an individual, he gives their location.  Here he is speaking to a saved group (because he calls them saints in Christ Jesus) that are in an organized congregation (with the bishops and deacons as leaders).   2. They are given a blessing by Paul and Timothy because grace and peace from God and Jesus are wished upon them.
