Encouraged and Inspired
The encouragement comes after I've had a bit of a rough start getting my projects off the ground after finishing two of them Tuesday night. However, after getting on deviant art and being welcomed by 17 messages... yes 17 up to this point I've kept 2 to make sure that I get back with them, so that is 15 messages in a 4 hour time frame. I now have a new follower/fan (she favourited 14 of my random doodles). But the awesome part was she said she wanted a turtle hat... not sure how serious she was, but it's a start. My inspiration comes from the last 2 hours I've spent on pinterest... I just need to stay off the craft page I guess. I got on one person's knitting board which led me to other and next thing I know my knitting board has doubled. I look forward to getting in the mood to knit again. Till next time, may God bless :)
A New Beginning
I'm not going to hide. I haven't been the Christian woman I need to be. It wasn't until I felt empty and lost that I realized what I've done to myself. I went from witnessing to a minimum of 3 people a week to witnessing to 1 person every few months. I went from actively pursuing God to becoming a sloth and neglecting the relationship altogether. I went from encouraging and cheerful to draining, antisocial, angry and hurt. I became overly selfish and snapped at everyone. I took advantage of living in the campus ministry and did nothing to help those who see this as a haven. I left their messes even though it is my job to pick up after them. I saw them as children who should learn to pick up after themselves rather than people in need of a place to relax. But no more. I am going to seek God once again. I am going to read my Bible everyday. Not just read, but study it. I am going to pray. Pray hard. Pray for those who are lo...
CoMISSION'D begins
CoMISSION'D's name came from some of us at MBSF trying to find a "business" name for what I do. I knit/loom made-to-order merchandise and all the money goes to mission trips/missionaries. So I am being commissioned by my clients while fulfilling the great commission on the mission field. It's planned for MBSF to go to the Philippines in May for a mission trip. (I'm pretty excited about it) So, I've decided to start knitting for the public.
